Since thirty years Parmacontrols is dealing with quality control systems, both online and laboratory, in particular for the packaging industry.
The long and in depth experience acquired over years of technical assistance and continuous improvements on the instruments has led Parmacontrols to recently acquire LaboScientifica, an historic company of the sector active since the 80s, and the creation of the brand LaboMetrology, used by Parmacontrols to produce its own range of instruments, equipped with even more innovative and reliable features as well as excellent value for money.
In the catalog there are already all the main instruments commonly used by all the companies, both as producers and fillers, dealing with cans but also with glass and plastic/PET containers. For example, state-of-the-art is the seam control system for food, beverage and aerosol cans, equipped with a new software easier to use, in particular regarding the reports and database management. The SW is both Windows and iOS compatible. The new optics have also been improved to be less sensitive to external light interference, ensuring high image definition and consequently good measurement accuracy.
Another instrument that stands out particularly is the bead depth and height gauge for the 3-pieces food cans, which can provide not only the average values, but also a detailed measurement almost same to that of a real profilometer.
Parmacontrols has always dealt with enthusiasm to innovation and this attitude lead the company towards the constant expansion of its product range. Currently a tool is being developed for measuring the quantity of tin in the tinplate and a new system making easily possible the connection of all LaboMetrology instruments to an external PC through a single communication and management standard. This system is also designed to handle instruments of other brands, in most cases already present in customers' laboratories, thus creating a real "network" that allows to manage the devices remotely all in the same way. We anticipate that some of these innovations may be available already by the end of 2020 but the real new solutions, which patents are being obtained for, will be presented only at the next Metpack 2021.
